Schwarzwaldhochstraße

die Schwarzwaldhochstraße

The famous panorama road from Baden-Baden to Freudenstadt is an absolute must for every visitor to the Black Forest.

On the approximately 60 km there is a lot to discover and experience, e.g. the Hornisgrinde, the highest mountain in the northern Black Forest with 1,164 m, the legendary Mummelsee, the nature reserves at Schliffkopf and Ruhestein as well as the Schwarzenbachtalsperre.

The Schwarzwaldhochstrasse begins in Baden-Baden, the world-famous spa, holiday, congress and festival town at the foot of the Northern Black Forest, and continues along the Schliffkopf highways to Freudenstadt, the charming Black Forest town with the largest market square in Germany. Many enchanting vantage points invite you to stop off again and again and give you the opportunity to discover the Northern Black Forest also culinarily.

For sports enthusiasts there are countless hiking and mountain biking routes along the Schwarzwaldhochstrasse and in winter also cross-country ski runs and downhill slopes. For young and old, the year-round bob run at Mehliskopf is also highly recommended.
