The famous panorama road from Baden-Baden to Freudenstadt is an absolute must for every visitor to the Black Forest.

On the approximately 60 km there is a lot to discover and experience, e.g. the Hornisgrinde, the highest mountain in the northern Black Forest with 1,164 m, the legendary Mummelsee, the nature reserves at Schliffkopf and Ruhestein as well as the Schwarzenbachtalsperre.

But also culture and art lovers don't miss out in the Albtal. Historical monuments, such as the monastery ruins in Frauenalb, theatre performances, museums or exhibitions of all kinds are probably unique in this diversity in the Black Forest.
Last but not least, there is also a lot for families to discover, such as outdoor swimming pools or lakes, horse farms or adventure and discovery trails such as the nature experience trail in Bad Herrenalb.

During the cold season or in bad weather, a visit to the thermal baths is particularly recommended and can be reached quickly from us at a distance of only 6 km, whether by car or bus ( bus stop right next to the house).

In the bathing area you will find several well-tempered pools with various massage and bubble jets. A particularly recommendable highlight is the sound bathing in the evening. Let yourself drift in the water and listen to the pleasant sounds. You forget the world around you and can completely relax and unwind.

The Golfclub Bad Herrenalb-Bernbach is located very close to us, on the edge of the core town of Bad Herrenalb in the Bernbach valley.

 

Its 9 holes are located in a landscape conservation area in the middle of the most beautiful nature and surrounded by mixed forest. The golf course thus also offers experienced golfers sporting challenges. Several holes have different tees, some with beautiful views.

With a total length of 1250 m (incl. ramp in the tower) and a height of up to 20 m above the forest floor, the path leads past beeches, firs and spruces of the impressive mixed mountain forest at the height of the tree tops. The highlight of the path is the 40 m high and architecturally unique observation tower.

Along the path you will find several information and experience stations, where you can learn interesting facts about the local nature and animal world. The path is therefore an experience for young and old, as is the integrated slide at 25 m height of the observation tower. This tunnel slide promises an extraordinary slide experience and a rapid ride, which at the same time makes the descent enormously easier.
