Location & Surroundings 

The Hotel Restaurant Vinothek LAMM is located 550 m above sea-level and above Bad Herrenalb in the small highaltitude health resort Rotensol, in the heart of the popular excursion region Northern Black Forest. Surrounded by meadows and forests, the Hotel LAMM is an ideal starting point for nature lovers and culture enthusiasts who want to explore cities such as Baden-Baden, Karlsruhe, Pforzheim or Strasbourg in Alsace. The world-famous "Schwarzwaldhochstraße" with its magnificent vantage points, far above the Rhine Valley and the Vosges Mountains, is also not far away and, with the entrance to the Black Forest National Park, offers the ideal starting point for fascinating and eventful excursions and tours in nature.

The health resort Bad Herrenalb can be reached within a short drive by car or bus (bus stop directly at the hotel) or on foot along wonderful hiking trails. The town looks back on 850 years of history, which you can get to know on a tour along the historical path or the monastery path to Frauenalb.

Bad Herrenalb is also known as a seven-valley town due to the special location of the town, which is bordered by the following valleys:

• Gaistal
• Rennbach valley
• Dobeltal
• Bernbach Valley
• Lower Alb Valley

The spa in Bad Herrenalb was also named after this special feature and offers a wellness and bathing world to relax and unwind in the town centre. In the Seven Valleys Therme you can enjoy sound bathing in thermal water with soothing music and sauna in the typical Black Forest sweat bath surrounded by fir twigs and soothing herbs.

Golfers will get their money's worth on the 9-hole golf course in Bad Herrenalb - Bernbach. The course offers not only sporting challenges, but also magnificent views over the wide Bernbach Valley landscape.  

You can also explore the surrounding destinations by public transport. With the Konus guest card you can use buses and trains in the entire Black Forest area free of charge. The bus stop with the suitable name "LAMM" is directly at the house.
